A cold front will push off the North Carolina coast Monday night ushering in much cooler air for Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs on Monday reached the upper 60s to near 70 degrees in most locations. Highs by Tuesday afternoon will be about 15 degrees cooler. It will remain breezy and that could continue to fuel fire danger issues across our regions. Much warmer air will be on the way later in the week.
