High pressure across Virginia will give eastern Carolina generally clear skies through Friday. Temperatures will still be slightly below normal. The increased sunshine on Friday will enable afternoon highs to reach the lower 70s in most locations. Coastal communities will top out in the upper 60s. More clouds will roll into the area over the weekend but the chance for showers will be slim until Sunday afternoon or evening. Highs over the weekend will be close to 70° with light winds.
