Deputies said two men were shot and investigators early this morning combed three possible scenes.
Pitt County Deputy K.M. Ross said they got a call of shots fired and a fight at the Copper Kettle Club on 903 North. Deputies said once they got there, the crowd had dispersed.
Soon after, deputies were called to a mobile home on Elaina Drive in the Forbes Mobile Home Park in Pitt County where they found two men had been shot.
Both men were taken to Vidant Medical Center and are expected to recover.
Investigators said neither man lived at the mobile home park, but were looking for refuge there.
Deputies said they stopped by the Sheetz gas station and convenience store on North Memorial Drive to talk with customers there because it is a known gathering place for club patrons after the Copper Kettle closes down on Sunday nights.
Deputies said Greenville police were called in to assist with questioning and one canine unit was searching the pump area. Another pump area had been taped off by police as deputies searched through a car nearby.
While Deputy Ross said a few people had been detained, no arrests had been made.
Several police cars surrounded the Sheetz gas station on N Memorial Drive in Greenville early Monday morning.
The Pitt County Sheriff's Office and Greenville Police had crime scene tape and police K-9s circling the gas station around 2:30 Monday morning.
We have a reporter on the scene working to get more information.
