As the sun rises on Friday morning, it is bringing to light some of the damage left by storms that swept over the east on Thursday.
The National Weather Service says one home in Beaufort County's Bayview had reports of a tree falling, damaging that home.
In Snow Hill, there were reports of lightning striking a home, knocking out the power.
The Quail Ridge neighborhood off East 14th Street in Greenville had tree tops broken off, landing in the street by 6 p.m. Thursday.
Some parts of Greenville also saw hailstones. Others in the city are figuring out how to safely remove and trim back oak tress split down the middle.
There were no reports of severe injuries from the Thursday evening's weather, just plenty of clean-up work left in the storm paths.
