Rocky Mount police say they've seized seven stolen guns, including several semi-automatic weapons.
Police were responding to a shots fired call in the 1700 block of Pender Street Monday afternoon when they found two men firing in a wooded area. Eight firearms were found, seven which have been confirmed as stolen.
Charged with possession of stolen firearms and discharging a firearm within city limits are Marquis Hines and Jerel Vick. Police say the guns were stolen on December 27th from American Jewelry & Pawn. In all 77 firearms were stolen in that break-in.
Police say the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms is now assisting with their investigation.
