More heat can be expected for eastern Carolina over the next few days. A weak cold front will drop into the area early Thursday and could trigger a few showers through mid afternoon. Any activity will be isolated on Thursday as afternoon highs hit the mid to upper 80s. Temperatures will continue to hover around 90° during Labor Day Weekend with only a stray shower or two on Saturday and Sunday. A cold front will approach the area by Labor Day giving us a better chance for showers and storms by Tuesday.
