Southern Pitt 12U Falls At Cal Ripken World Series

Southern Pitt dropped game three of pool play at the 12U Cal Ripken World Series 9-0 to host team Visalia, California.

Visalia scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning, three runs in the bottom of the bottom of the second and three more runs in the bottom of the fourth.

The All-Stars from PItt County were held to just one hit and committed three errors against Visalia in the loss falling to 1-2 in pool play. Four teams will be eliminated following the conclusion of pool play on Tuesday with the remaining six teams beginning the single elimination portion of the tournament on Wednesday.

Southern Pitt faces a must win situation in game four Tuesday night at 8:30pm when they take on winless Maplewood, Minnesota.

    Yeah! Southern Pitt has advanced to the semi finals an will play Visalia. The winner will play for the World Series Title.
