At Village Creek Produce Farm in Fort Bragg, farmer Larry Ipock says cold weather has slowed down his strawberry crop. Ipock says since he started farming strawberries he's never had a crop come as late as he expects this one to be.
"Then this cold weather- it put a damper in it because usually we have have the cold weather, but we usually don't have it for weeks at a time. We have 3 or 4 days and then some warm breaks come in. It really been unusual with the weather," said Ipock
Ipock says he expects his strawberries will be ready for picking by the 3rd week of April and will taste just as good as years past.
