Some Colerain Tornado Victims Looking To Meet Basic Needs

The American red cross and the North Carolina Baptist Men group helped clear debris in Colerain Tuesday. Some residents have lost everything. They have no food, clothes or a place to live. Two women came to Colerain with clean clothes for anyone who could use them.

"My mother and I- we've gone through our closets and pooled our clothes together and just bagged em up and sorted em out- just stayed up late trying to get clothes and anything we can do to help," said Paula Turner.

Donations are being accepted at the Colerain Baptist Church and the Askewville Assembly of God. Also, the emergency operation center has been set up at the Colerain EMS building for people with any questions about the disaster recovery.

Keith Piland with Dominion Power says power was restored to the area about 8:00 Monday night to all homes which have power lines in tact.
