The 16th Annual Smoke On The Water festival is in the books.
A big thanks to all of Eastern Carolina who came out to the event this weekend in Washington.
In addition to the good food, on Saturday there were performances by local musicians including former WITN Pepsi Player of the Week Caroline Dare.
There was also a rubber duck race with money up for grabs. It was emceed by our own Dave Jordan. Alma Friedman won first and second place, collecting $350 total. The Washington High School ROTC were on hand to help out.
There were also classic cars on display, a 5k walk/run, a pig parade and kayak rides.
"Everything went wonderful. The rain cleared away in the morning and we didn't get any sun but we had a lot of people show up," said organizer Pam Anders, "We sold out of everything, our barbecue, our chili. We've never sold out."
