Sister, Father Of Wolfpack Mascot Poisoned In NC

Four Tamaskan dogs with ties to North Carolina State Wolfpack mascot Tuffy have become seriously ill after eating fish laced with antifreeze that their owner says was placed on his property intentionally.

The Daily Advance of Elizabeth City said John Bannow of the Nixonton community saw the dogs acting strangely Sunday and found a large bowl containing fish that later was determined to be laced with antifreeze. The bowl was set in a freshly dug hole and covered in grass.

Tamaskans originated in Finland and are bred to have a wolf-like appearance.

Bannow's dogs include 3-year-old Blaze and 2-year old Kana Ti', the father and sister of the Wolfpack mascot. Also sick were a 1-year-old male and a 5-month-old female.

All four dogs are recovering at a nearby animal hospital.

It is sick and whoever did it needs to be forced to drink antifreeze. Go Pirates! And here is hoping that everything works out in Pack nation and they catch this creep.

OK, was at nc state for 4 years(03-06), never seen a live mascot??? Feel fairly certain he's made a neighbor mad than this being a Tarheel scheme on a very unpopular mascot.

I don't care what political side you take or who your favorite team is, stop arguing over that, it's irrelevant. The fact is innocent dogs were harmed and the individual responsible for it should be severely punished. This is cold-hearted, immature stupidity. Grow up.

It is a good thing you do not bet because you would lose.Tarheel fans would not waste their time doing that ,they might however do that to a blue devil. Those dogs must have made a trip to Plymouth.

this is horrible and i will bet on 2 certain things. 1.a tarheel fan did this.2.this person is a republican.if law enforcement will go at that angle they will find the culprit.then feed them the rest of that fish with no medical assistance.

I will agree with feeding the fish to the scumbag that did this, but the first parts of your post are just futile attempts at SOMETHING, much like N.C. State`s sports program.

Funny how most tarheels are very liberal yet you say a republican did this. If you knew more about this story then you would know that people have been accusing the breeder to be a "puppy mill" I'd have to go with a liberal as the culprit.

While the pooh heels are great at cheating, I doubt that even they would do something so cruel. The republican comment is just down right silly.
