Showers Then Colder For Eastern North Carolina

A cold front will push clouds and showers into eastern North Carolina late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Rainfall amounts are expected to average one-quarter to one-half inch before the showers move offshore by Wednesday afternoon. Colder and drier air will follow the front with afternoon highs holding in the lower 50s despite the sunshine. Chilly but dry conditions will linger through Friday.
