A cold front moving through the Midwest will arrive in eastern North Carolina Tuesday causing an increase in clouds and the threat for showers. Showers arrived in western North Carolina Monday afternoon and they will slowly migrate eastward during the overnight hours. Most communities should see between one-quarter and one-half inch before the rain moves out early Wednesday. The remainder of the week looks clear and seasonable with highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s.
