Showers Ending Followed By Clearing Skies On Friday Across Eastern North Carolina

A strong cold front will bring a quick shot of showers early Friday before moving rapidly offshore during the afternoon. Some of the showers will contain gusty winds with a slight risk of an isolated tornado. Any threat of severe weather will end by noon Friday as the front moves offshore. Sunshine should return to much of the area during the afternoon along with mild highs in the upper 60s to around 70°. The nice weather will continue into the weekend. It will be slightly cooler with highs in the lower 60s Saturday and lower to middle 50s on Sunday.
