Showers Arrive By Thursday Afternoon Across Eastern North Carolina

It appears that more rain will be moving into eastern North Carolina on Thursday after a sunny Wednesday. A cold front will push clouds and showers into the mountains early Thursday and across the state and to the coast by late afternoon. Total rainfall amounts should average about one-quarter to on-half inch, with locally heavier amounts possible. Clearing skies will follow the front Thursday night with sunny skies expected on Friday. Highs the next two days will be close to 60°.
