Several new restaurants are opening up soon in Washington and city officials say it's a sign the economy is getting better.
"On The Waterfront" is expected to open by the end of the month. As the name suggests it is right on the waterfront in Washington. Owners plan to serve food, drinks, and have an oyster bar. "The Bank Bistro and Bar" is also set to open soon in downtown Washington.
"The more people here it brings the diner to our area and so while he's at another restaurant he checks us out, that's good for everybody," said restaurant owner Susan Colomaio.
City officials say there are plans for Dunkin Donuts, a Sheetz, Hardees, Cook Out, and a Waffle House to open up in the Washington area as well.
