Senate To Hold Hearing On Camp LeJeune Tainted Water

The suspected link between tainted water and cluster of men with breast cancer at Camp Lejeune will be examined during senate hearing Tuesday, according to the News and Observer.

The Senate's Environmental and Public Works Committee will hold a hearing on a bill to improve testing and reporting on suspected cancer clusters.

Officials suspect chemicals from a dry cleaner on base made the water unhealthy. Camp Lejeune capped the tainted water wells in the mid 1980's.

My husband, a Vietnam era Marine, was stationed state-side at Camp Pendleton, Camp LeJeune, and MCAS El Toro. He also served over 20 months in Vietnam. He past away with esphageal cancer, adenocarcinoma. All three bases were/are Superfund sites with the same contaminants in the water. On the internet I have discovered are many Marines and the family members of these Marines who have same issue. Good Luck with the DIC claim.
