Secret Santa Pays Layaway Tab For Jacksonville Kmart Shoppers

The "Secret Santa" spirit continues to spread across the east.

Customers at the Kmart in Jacksonville could be in for a big surprise when they pick up their layaway.

Associates there tell us they've had at least 50 orders paid for by people wishing to stay anonymous.

Kmart associate Linda Sanders says they have had one Santa in particular who made a big dent in layaways. Sanders says, "We had a lady come in about a week ago and she handed us $3,000 and told us to pay on as many layaways as we could-- so me and another associate went through and tried to find the ones we know-- 'cause we've been here a long time-- we know our customers-- we tried to pick some that were in need of that."

Sanders says they have had "Secret Santas" even come in Friday-- two different times-- contributing towards other people's Christmas bills.

For those who want to believe that someone would just "Pick and Choose" who got what paid for, only takes away from the one's who gave. Those people chose to give regardless and didnt give because they wanted to be reconized, but just to make life easier for someone else. Isnt that what Jesus would have done? beware the Angels of God are here, and complaining isnt going to make them stop. Shame on you. I only hope everyone has a Merry Christmas......

The sound of ringing cash registers is music to the Baby Jesus. Sanctify the season with a line of revolving credit!

I hope that it went towards the people who really needed it and hope they feel truly grateful for the gift they have received. Its nice to know there are people who put their money towards good things and not just care about themselves.

It sounds like someone was in the giving mood but the sales associates went through and picked and choose who's layaways the paid off! Bet all their friends layaways got paid for! Would had been better handled in the next $3000.00 in layaways which walked through the door was paid for, however these associates would have probable called their friends to come take care of their layaways so they could get it for free! Best bet to take care it above the associate level! God Bless the person who is able to be this giving, wish I had the extra to do so myself!
