Second Man Arrested In Shooting At Kinston Convenience Store

Two men are now facing charges after police say they got into a fight and tried to shoot each other at a convenience store.

Police say 25-year-old Corey Maye was arrested Tueday, charged with attempted murder and locked up under a half-million dollar bond.

Police tell WITN Maye opened fire on 23-year-old Victor Speller while the two were inside a mini-mart on Old Snow Hill Road December 17. They report Maye's gun didn't work and didn't fire inside the store.

Police say the two then went outside and did shoot at each other, but neither were injured. No customers or store staff were hurt.

Speller was arrested last week and charged with multiple crimes, including assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

They are angry because their parents didn't love & care for them. They only knew mistrust and neglect. (just like you said)

I am considering opening a handgun course designed for thugs. Tired of them missing the other thug and hitting some kid or just plain out missing. If they would do the job correct we would not have to foot the bill for them. This is why every law abiding person needs a concealed permit

Too bad they didn't end up just doing it. Would have saved some tax dollars.

Sounds like they should both be put in a room (each with 5 shots in their guns) and let loose. Winner gets less time, loser gets more. Of course, with the aim these guys have, 5 shots might not be enough. lol ...I say goodbye the these two and hope they enjoy their stay in the NCDOC Hilton...on the taxpayers dime. (such sweet looking guys, too)

Two more dolts for the tax payers of N.C. to keep up. Come on guys keep your guns clean so they will work when you need them and learn to shoot. Not that gangster style mess. Use both hands and shoot to kill. If you just wound the other guy then the tax payer is on the hook for the hospital bill. Do the job right.
