An area of low pressure over Virginia will continue to give eastern North Carolina a slight risk of showers over the next two days. There will be a mixture of clouds and sunshine as temperatures reach close to 80° in the afternoons. The low will move away by the weekend allowing much warmer air to surge into the region. We should hit the lower 80s Saturday and middle to upper 80s on Sunday. There is little or no chance for rain over the weekend. The beaches will be nice over the weekend with highs in the upper 70s under mostly sunny skies.
