Search Continues For Cause Of Fire

After a nearly completed apartment complex draws multiple fire crews-- there's a lingering question for one city with a booming rental property market.

Crews got the fire under control at Carolina Place Apartments in Jacksonville in less than an hour-- and no one was living there yet.

However, if you look around town- there are similar complexes sprouting up everywhere. With no explanation yet for what started the fire in the attic--building inspector Danny Bryan is confident that it's not a matter of these complexes going up too fast. "Everybody that I've dealt with in the construction field, even though time is important- they're all also concerned about the safety of the individual that's gonna be occupying. So we feel confident that's being done."

Investigators have not yet said what started the fire at the empty apartments.

No offense to anyone in particular but plumbers start fires in new construction accidentally while soldering copper pipes. Most won't use fire blankets to protect nearby bare wood. Just a possibility.
