School Bus Damaged When Driver Ran Into Ditch

A school bus in Onslow County for special needs students ran into a ditch Tuesday. The Highway Patrol says 8 students were on the bus, but no one was hurt.

It happened southwest of Jacksonville, close to the intersection of Scott Jenkins Road and Holly Shelter Road.

Officials say the bus ran off the left side of the road, hit and then came to rest on a culvert. Damage is estimated at $1,000.
