Members of the Pitt County Board of Education will meet Monday in a called meeting, where the agenda lists a handful of items that deal with the board itself.
One of the topics on the agenda is the number of the people on the board. Currently, there are two members representing each district. Board member Jennifer Little suggested reducing the representation to one board member per district. Board Chairman Billy Peaden told WITN he does not support the proposed change.
Also on Monday's agenda, discussing the term length of board members and the time lapse between election day and when board members are sworn in.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. in the Third Floor Board Room, Pitt County Office Building in Greenville.
