A stationary front just to our south combined with a weak area of low pressure will continue the threat of rain across eastern Carolina through Saturday. Communities along and south of Highway 264 will see the best rainfall chances through Saturday evening. The slow-moving storms will produce locally heavy rainfall. The cloud cover and threat of showers will keep temperatures in the middle to upper 80s. High relative humidity values will make it feel like the lower to middle 90s. Overnight lows will generally be in the lower 70s.

Slightly drier air will filter into the area by Sunday with only widely scattered storms expected. Increased sunshine will push afternoon highs close to 90 degrees. Lots of sunshine with temperatures in the lower 90s can be expected by early next week.
