SWAT Team Called Into Wilson Standoff

Police say a domestic dispute escalated to the point a SWAT team had to be called in Thursday.

The incident happened in Wilson County at a mobile home off Highway 42.

Officers say the mother of 22- year-old Charles Michael Sasser called authorities saying her son had locked himself, his girlfriend and infant child in the house.

Police say Sasser threw a child seat out the back door and shot it up, saying he would not leave the residence alive. He eventually gave up and walked out of the home, handing over the child unharmed.

Sasser is charged with discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling, along with damage to property charges .

Sasser is in the Wilson County jail under a $25,000 bond.

He was charged with discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling, but he shot the weapon from the inside to the outside? That's not the same!!! Maybe he was mad at the baby seat. What's wrong with that?

Sounds like the average new trailer park family getting started. They're just begining to build memories for a lifetime of love and devotion. I'm sure they'll have plenty of funny stories to tell their kids...."Hey, remember when dad shot up the child seat and then threatened to kill everybody & himself?"...Can you imagine the family reunions?

"saying he would not leave the residence alive"...I interperate this as a threat to kill anyone that tries to remove him from the house (including those in the house) and would rather kill himself than surender. . . Or did you get another meaning from what you read?

You must be smoking crack rocks if you think there are no bad cops around. They might not be kicking doors gun slinging like Clint Eastwood, but they are definitely bad in other ways. Please but the pipe down. You have obviously been overstimulated by too many stylized Holly Wood movie scenes.
