SUV Lands On Side After Crash

A sports utility vehicle landed on its side after a two vehicle crash in Greenville Tuesday afternoon.

There doesn't appear to be any serious injuries in the accident that happened next to the Walgreens off of Charles Boulevard near the Fire Tower Road intersection shortly after 1:00 p.m.

The SUV ended up in the grass near the pharmacy after being struck by the second vehicle.

No word yet on how the accident happened and Greenville police are investigating the crash.

If we make the new SUVs hybrids (combine cat DNA with the SUV) the vehicles would land upright everytime.

This article has to be WRONG! W R O N G; I say. I watched all the commercials. SUVs don't roll, don't slide on sheets of ice, don't get stuck in snow, and if they go into a ditch they are able to drive right back up and out plus get great gas mileage. This is why we younger folk bought them for our 70's year old parents.

I was there... I was pulling out of the Blockbuster parking lot when it happened. It looked REALLY bad when it happened. Hopefully nobody was hurt. It looked like the SUV pulled out of the Walgreens parking lot and the red minivan just nailed it driverside.

re:laura ...What's the matter, afraid you wouldn't pass the test ? Sounds like a well thought out response to idiots on the road !

If you get a ticket (any ticket), then you should have to take a physical driving test before returning to the road. Forget fines and court cost. Charge $150-$200 for the test and it be mandatory. Cuts the lawyers out and re-checks the drivers ability. If you want to argue it in court and you lose it is an additional $100.

People drive like idiots because there are no repercussions for their actions. Tickets are a joke. You pay the lawyer and get out of it (myself included). If you had to actually sit in the DMV line again and go through that test, you would think twice about running the red light/stop sign/driving to close/speeding. If it is a minor violation the officer should give you a warning anyway. If you are sure you were in the right, gamble and take the chance on the extra $100 fine. I'm not perfect, pretty close though, but just think it is silly to get a license at 16 and never have to be physically tested again unless you get a DUI or are convicted of a major driving offense. Over 65; you should be tested every two years as well. Let the comments fly.

If you get a ticket, you should lose your license, for the rest of your life. If you get caught DUI, you should have your vehicle shredded, and spend the rest of your life in prison.

Let's see...we don't know the make and model of the car, we don't know who was involved, we don't know how it happened, and we don't know if there were any injuries. This is not news. When you can report the answers to those questions, you will have a story.
