Police say two people have been charged in the death of a man at a Rocky Mount motel.
Thirty-four-year-old William Richard Gingras and 21-year-old Natasha Maria North have been charged with first-degree murder and common law robbery.
Forty-year-old Earl Armstrong of Nashville was found tied up next to a bed in a motel on Thursday. The motel owner says Armstrong had rented the room at the motel.
An autopsy is being conducted to determine how Armstrong died.
One of the suspects was found on a surveillance camera and the two were arrested in Weldon. They are being held in the Nash County jail. It was not clear if they have attorneys.
Police are investigating the death of a person at a Rocky Mount motel.
Police say they were called to the Sunshine Inn on North Wesleyan Boulevard around 10:30 a.m. for an unresponsive person in a motel room.
So far police are still working to identify the dead person and are awaiting on autopsy results for a cause of death.
Police do say they are trying to locate a man who may have information that could help them in their investigation. Police say he is not a wanted person.
