A local bank was robbed Friday morning, and police say they're searching for the robber.
Tarboro Police Chief Damon Williams says a man demanded money from a teller at the Tarboro Savings Bank around 9:45 a.m. Friday. It's not clear if the man ran from the bank or had a getaway car.
The robber did not show a weapon, and no injuries were reported.
The man was wearing a red Chicago ball cap with a large, black brim, according to the chief. The robber may also have been wearing a wig.
Chief Williams says there customers in the bank during the robbery.
Surveillance pictures will likely be available later today, according to the chief.
