Our elderly need the 2nd amendment more than anyone. Young, strong thugs are victimizing our elderly with increasing frequency, because they have no respect for their elders anymore. As it has been so wisely said: "God made man, but Samuel Colt made them equal"... We pray for Mr. Morris and his family.

Unfortunately, the elderly have been victims of some crime or another through the years. It's a shame that they cannot be safe in their own homes. I hope whoever did it gets caught and dealt with accordingly! It is disgusting to say the least.

Why would anyone hurt let alone murder a defenseless old man! I hope when the murderer is caught they get the Death Sentence.

As a Pitt County Sheriff said about three decades back: "I wish that man had a pump shotgun on hand".
