Restaurant Owner And Wife Charged In 3 A.M. Bust

The owner of a restaurant in Goldsboro was arrested after state agents busted in at 3 a.m. Sunday. Special agents with the N.C. Division of Alcohol Law Enforcement arrested 21 people on alcohol and drug charges at Lamar's Mexican Restaurant on George St. in Goldsboro.

Officials say agents confiscated 16 grams of cocaine, six grams of methamphetamine, one gram of marijuana and a handgun.

Cesar Lamar, the restaurant's owner, was arrested for the sale of alcohol after hours, allowing alcohol and substance abuse violations to occur and failure to supervise an Alcohol Beverage Control licensed premises. His wife, Claudia, was a bartender at the restaurant, and was charged with sale of alcohol after hours.

Nineteen others were charged. The suspects and their charges include:
-Ana Lopez of 334 Outlaw Road, Dudley, a bartender, charged with the sale of alcohol after hours
-Angel Deleon of 334 Running Deer Circle, Dudley, possession of cocaine
-Alec Grant of 362 Sandhill Drive, Goldsboro, obstructing a law enforcement officer from doing his duty
-Omar Salasar of 108 Smith Road, Mount Olive, possession of a fraudulent North Carolina identification card
-Raphael Jimenez of 108 Smith Road, Mount Olive, consuming alcohol after hours
-Rigoberto Perez of 108 Smith Road, Mount Olive, consuming alcohol after hours
Jose Fonseca of 4916 Highway 117 S. Alternate, Dudley, consuming alcohol after hours
-Rumoaldo Mejia of 116 Nick Drive, Goldsboro, consuming alcohol after hours
-Edgar Meja-Youc of 102 Wd Drive, Seven Springs, consuming alcohol after hours
-Alejandre Aguirre of 182 Mitchell Road, Dudley, consuming alcohol after hours
-Jesus Garza of 758 Massey Road, Dudley, consuming alcohol after hours
-Rigoberto Martines of 182 Mitchell Road, Dudley, consuming alcohol after hours
-Hugo Gaspar of 220 Maggie Lane, Rose Hill, consuming alcohol after hours
-Salatiel Gonzalez of 108 Massey Road, Dudley, consuming alcohol after hours
-Pablo Aguilon of 1904 William St., Goldsboro, consuming alcohol after hours
-Cesar Cabrara of 1904 William St., Goldsboro, consuming alcohol after hours
-Silverio Torres of 119 Mint Hill Drive, Goldsboro, consuming alcohol after hours
-Rigoberto Mauricio of 108 Smith Road, Mount Olive, consuming alcohol after hours

In addition, five members of a gang were identified and documented.

"ALE appreciates the assistance and dedication of all the officers and their agencies that participated in this investigation," said David Williams, special agent in charge of the Fayetteville district office. "We take allegations of this nature seriously and banded together to bring it to a stop."
