Residents Still Waiting For New Election Date

Still no firm date for voters in Washington County to cast another vote for sheriff.

The State Board of Elections ordered a new sheriff's election after claims that November's close race was mired in scandal.

The state board's executive director will decide when the vote will be, but that won't happen until the state board can meet with the county board of elections.

In November's election sheriff James Ross, a Democrat, won by just four votes over Republican Greg Hassell.
