Report: Woman Flashed Gun In Front Of School

The Pitt County Sheriff's Office is investigating a report that a woman pulled out a gun during a shouting match as they dropped kids off at school.

Christy Wallace, the Public Information Officer for the Pitt County Sheriff's Office, says a report was filed Wednesday about the alleged incident Tuesday morning at G.R. Whitfield School in Grimesland.

Wallace says deputies are reviewing the report filed by Iaeacha Clinton, who says she was dropping her child off at school Tuesday when she ended up in a shouting match with another woman. Clinton says the woman was blocking the dropoff lane with her car. A shouting match between the two women ensued, and Clinton says the other woman pulled out a gun.

The name of woman Clinton says had a gun was not included in the report.

Wallace said the deputy assigned to the case has interviewed a possible suspect and a witness.

No charges have been filed. Wallace says, depending on what the investigation reveals, the woman with the gun could face charges that include assault by pointing a gun and possession of a weapon on school property.

What ever came of this? Kind of scary when someone can make the news for flashing a gun at an elementary school, then you don't hear anything else regarding the outcome. Any news?

SamBuck: If you do not have a CCW permit, place the weapon in the glove compartment and lock the door before you get out of the car. The gun can remain in the "Locked" glove compartment while you are operating the vehicle, as long as the key to the compartment is on the key ring with the ignition key. If the glove box can Not be readily opened while you are driving, you are OK. If stopped by any LEO, immediately tell them that you have a weapon in the Locked glove box and the key is on the ring with the igition key.

wow, just caught this barrage of insults from a person who uses a character name from a movie as if it's his own. yet i'm the simpleton? i understood the movies just fine, they got old and boring (even with the cool, amusing FX) after the first one. so if the cliched use of the word 'fail' makes me irrelevant, what does the use of a fictional character's name and the regurgitation of sean hannity (constantly) make you? you have any original thought on life, or do you let others do all your thinking for you, 'neo' or is it keanu?

Did anyone else see the firearm, or just the other lady in the argument? Seems that if this happened, someone else also might have seen it.

"gg", I'm sorry to say that "cj" is likely one of those amused by the special effects and cool stunts. Her use of the term "that's a fail" is a sign of a mind that gets hung up on these simpleton catch phrases that demonstrate a lack of ability to express oneself in original thoughts, therefore the "canned" phrases are pulled out to try to sound cool or hip. Like most logical people I dismissed all of the "cj" comments as soon as I saw the word "fail" used in such cliched fasion. Since "cj" was so confounded by the Matrix movies, I would love to see her wheels spin trying to understand "Pulp Fiction" or "Eyes Wide Shut", that would be too humerous.

to CJ...perhaps you just didn't understand the other Matrix movies; it's all based on UNIX System Programming so, if you're logically-minded, it's fairly simple to follow along. it's not just about special effects and cool stunts...that's just the fluff to keep the simpletons amused.

to SamBuck...if you have a concealed carry permit, you can carry the gun on your person (holstered) into a store. however, if that store happens to sell alcohol for consumption on-site (restaurants, bars, at least one pizza shop in town), you cannot enter that establishment with your weapon (regardless of your CC status), it must be stowed & secured in your vehicle or left at home. NC gun laws are fairly straight-forward. here's a link to check out: If you have any questions, I'm sure your local Sheriff's office can give you more specific information since they're in charge of approving gun permits and CC permits.
