After bitter cold weather of late, we'll see quiet conditions the next several days with chilly conditions, but not brutally cold. High temperatures through midweek will be in the lower and middle 40s, with lows in the 20s and 30s.
If you're traveling across North Carolina this week conditions are looking good with dry roads expected. It appears things will change by the end of the week. An area of low pressure will be approaching from the west increasing the chances for rain Christmas Eve into Christmas Day. As of now the computer models are pointing at rain with this event, but it's several days out and we'll continue to watch it.
