REPORT: Most Parents Vaccinating Kids

A new government report reveals the majority of parents are getting their infants vaccinated against serious diseases.

Data from 2013 shows vaccination coverage topped 90 percent for all recommended childhood vaccines. Less than one percent of children were not immunized at all.

Vaccination rates remained stable or increased from 2012. However, many parents struggle to get the recommended booster shots during their child's second year, especially those living in poverty.

Families who need help should ask about the Vaccines for Children program, which provides free immunizations to children in families that are uninsured or considered low-income.
