Postal Workers Take To Streets

Postal workers say they have found a way to keep local post offices from closing down, keeping thousands of workers employed. A group will be on the streets of Greenville to let the public know their plan.

The "Save America's Postal Service" rally will be held on the corner of Greenville Blvd. and Charles St. from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Local organizers expect 50-100 people to participate.

The rally is a push for congress to approve legislation addressing the postal service's financial crisis. The bill would require recalculations of pension payment obligations, which are currently crippling the postal service's finances.
