Portion Of Highway 11 Closed Until Friday

Greenville Utilities will close a portion of NC Highway 11, which turns into Memorial Drive, starting at 6 a.m. Thursday.

The two-day construction project will cause northbound traffic to be reduced to one lane. Southbound traffic should not be affected.

Crews will replace a steel valve under the road just north of the Tar River.

The work is expected to finish up Friday.

I'm presuming its that section north of Third Street in Greenville, on Memorial Drive as you cross the river where the airport runway is. It's the only spot I know of where NC 11 crosses the Tar River. But you were right, Lisa, the info was very vague.
