Police Search For Apartment Robbery Suspect

Greenville dispatchers say a gunman robbed a woman of her purse Thursday night at Pirates Cove apartments off of 10th Street. It happened about 10:30 p.m. The suspect is described as wearing all black carrying a black gun.

Police say they set up a perimeter and searched for the suspect with a K-9, but were unsuccessful.

Pirates Cove is a popular apartment complex among ECU students, who are in the process now of moving back into the area.

Anyone with information is asked to call Pitt-Greenville Crime Stoppers at (252) 758-7777.

what a terrible description. Are you afraid that you might offend someone? Why even report crimes? I hope that the police got better info than was "reported" by your group.

If you don't like Greenville, then get out! Oh..and by the way, when you all find a place that doesn't have crime let me know. Another thing, do not disrespect the police officers on here. They are working their hardest. As it is said, if you want to see change, then do something to make a difference and not talk trash over this comment box.

Also, please inform me what you think about my comment was tough or not bright? I didn't mean to hurt your feelings by sounding "tough", but said what needed to be done.

Maybe it was a guy wearing a ninja outfit carrying a gun instead of a sword.

Look here, another robbery without a detailed description! Would WITN at least comment on why they refuse to describe the suspect? Wearing all black? Hardly a description. WITN's lack of information puts the public at risk while this thug is still on the run.

Is this the best description witn can post "The suspect is described as wearing all black carrying a black gun." The social pressure not to descibe a persons color is stupid. Was the this person white, black, mexican?

Great, detailed description, WITN! I'm sure that will get it done...
