Police Nab Scooter Robbers

Two men were injured when police say they refused to give up their scooters to two robbers.

Greenville police say they were able to find the two suspects and have charged them with the robbery. Quintin Freeman is charged with common law robbery, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a weapon by a prisoner, while Darquell Brown was charged with common law robbery.

Police say the two robberies occurred Wednesday night five minutes apart near Ward and Hudson streets and West Third and Hudson streets. Both victims say two men approached them and demanded their scooters. The two victims were assaulted by the robbers.

Police were able to recover both stolen scooters. Freeman's bond was set at $162,000 while Brown's bond was $50,000. The two victims were treated by Greenville EMS for minor injuries.

as embarrassing as it is to say,yes it was stupid and it was very immature, childish and thoughtless what they did better yet, what darquell did.i dont know the other guy so i wont speak for him.im speaking for the one whom i lay next to.i dont know the streets and i've never asked to understand them but i know this isn't the way its supposed to go.but it is what it is. for the two victims family members and friends,on my boyfriend's behalf, i apologize because that is not the person i know, talk to or lay next to.a lot of you dont know him,you just know what you see on WITN. needless to say, most of you are looking from the outside in.as disappointed as i am in my boyfriend im going to stick by him because if i dont it would only mean we've been in vain from the get go.my prayers are with the victim's family members and our family and especially all of those talking down on him. i love you darquell corbett brown. love, tld

Get away from this man, seriously, you seem somewhat educated, (though typically you capitialize words when you start a sentence)or things wont get better for you. Get a degree, a better job, and move away from people like this. Just some food for thought.

Lol get the hell outta here..what? U feel like u did something bc u called me out on starting a sentence.u writing just like me..so ima write upon my own discretion..

For whoever and however many "anonymous" people there are, speak on it. calling him by his government means you must know him. and if you know him like you're acting like you do, you should have been told him or get ready to tell him how you feel! you're not bout it! you're anonymous...remember that! nobody knows who's really talking!

"calling him by his government means you must know him. and if you know him like you're acting like you do, you should have been told him or get ready to tell him how you feel!" This is painful to read, your barely literate, maybe you should refrain from posting

Stealing scooters, HA HA. I guess they passed thugology 101, that class was stealing bicycles. They didn't pass thugology 102 which is stealing scooters. Keep trying hoodlums, you'll either end up dead, or working on your doctorate of stealing cars. Ya two worthless idiots.
