NEW INFO: Victim Shot At House Party Identified


A police report names the victim of a shooting at a house party over the weekend.

Reports show 21-year-old Hassan Perkins of Bethel was shot around 12:30 Saturday morning.

Police responded to the shooting on Fleming School Road.

Investigators said a fight broke out at a house party, and Perkins was shot in the hip.

Perkins' injuries were listed as serious.

Police are still looking for the shooter, who ran from the scene.

Greenville Police are investigating a shooting at a party after a fight breaks out.

Sgt. Joe Friday confirms that the shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. Saturday on Fleming School Road. That’s north of the Tar River.

Sgt. Friday says that there was a fight at a house party, and that someone pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the hip. Police say the suspect then ran from the scene.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say they are searching for a suspect.
