Kinston Police are investigating a report of shots fired, that resulted in a home being hit a block away.
Officials say it happened around 6 p.m. Saturday evening. Officers were originally responding to a report of a fight around the intersection of Nelson Street and Vernon Avenue. The report of a fight was upgraded to shots fired.
Several officers responded to the scene but did not find any victims, nor anyone with information aside from the home hit.
