The Plymouth boys high school basketball team is on a four game winning streak following Tuesday night's 71-27 victory over Southside on the road.
The Vikings jumped out to a 16-0 lead and never looked back. Southside scored its first field goal of the game with under :40 left to play in the first period and trailed 39-12 at halftime.
As for the Southside girls, the Seahawks managed to hold off a late Plymouth charge to beat the Vikings 67-66 in overtime.
Katesha Hyman hit two free throws with 3.5 seconds left in the extra period to secure the victory. Hyman scored 16 points. her teammate Quaneika Thomas led the Seahawks in scoring with 18 points.
