Player Of The Week: Benton Moss

Rocky Mount High School senior pitcher Benton Moss is headed to the University of North Carolina to play baseball with the Tar Heels.

Moss is one of the most talented players in the state of North Carolina throwing his fastball in the low to mid 90's.

But as WITN's Chris Obarski explains, it's not just his talents on the baseball diamond that will likely propel Moss to "Star Status."

To Confused, UNC Wilmington is who seems to have the most players going pro.

If he wants to play with the real winners, try Mt. Olive College. They seem to have more players headed to the pros than most other schools

Congrats Benton and best of luck! My son, who is in little league thinks a lot of you man. You will be joining my alma mater as a fellow Rocky Mount citizen. To the TruthBTold, as a Tar Heel man, I think your EasyU comment is out of line. ECU has done a lot over the years. One of my brothers went to ECU (other one went to N.C. State) and is now a doctor, actually making more money than me. You need to watch what you say about other schools unless you can get accepted.

Why should he play for EasyU? Going to NC is the right choice for him professionally and NATIONALLY!

It is ashamed that he is going to Carolina. ECU is where he needs to be going.
