The Highway Patrol says that 6 people were taken to Vidant Medical Center with minor injuries Saturday night, following a 3 car accident on Highway 264 just outside the city limits of Greenville.

Trooper William Brown says that a Chevy passenger car driven by 18-year-old Ashley Carmon of Greenville was driving west on Stantonsburg Road/Highway 264 and was turning left to continue on to Stantonsburg Road. A Ford pickup driven by 34-year-old Victor Garcia of Greenville, traveling east into town on Highway 264 would crashed into Carmon as she was turning, according to Brown. We’re told Garcia’s truck would then run into a Nissan Altima driven by 19-year-old Brittany Ebron of Greenville, who had 3 passengers.

The accident happened after 9 p.m. Trooper Brown says the they are investigating whether Garcia had his lights on and couldn’t be seen by Carmon, who had a green light to turn, but would have had to yield first.
