Pet Of The Week

A dog named Skitter visited WITN News at Sunrise as the Pet of the Week Wednesday.

Skitter is a four-year-old Labrador Retriever/Mix who knows a few basic commands. Volunteers say they're baffled why this happy dog has not found a home yet. They say she would make a great family dog because she just loves people of all sizes. She is a smart dog who is willing to learn anything you teach her.

All dogs at the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, and on heartworm and flea prevention. All dogs 6 months or older are tested for heartworms. Their adoption comes with a small bag of Hill's Science Diet food and a free one month trial of pet health insurance.

If you are interested in adopting Skitter or any of the animals at the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina, please contact them at (252) 413-7247 or visit them online at

If we didn't have our great lab I would get this dog. If you are looking for a good dog you should get a lab like this one.

If you do not have a yellow lab you owe it to yourself to get one. And if you do have one then you know you want another one. They really are the best.
