Pet Of The Week

A dog named Cody visited WITN News at Sunrise as the Pet of the Week Wednesday.

Cody is a neutered male walker hound mix. He responds well to treats and has learned the "sit"command. Cody is also crate trained and house trained.

Volunteers think Cody would thrive in a home that has room for him to run. He is also quite the social butterfly.

All dogs at the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, and on heartworm and flea prevention. All dogs 6 months or older are tested for heartworms. Their adoption comes with a small bag of Hill's Science Diet food and a free one month trial of pet health insurance.

If you are interested in adopting Cody or any of the animals at the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina, please contact them at (252) 413-7247 or visit them online at

Cody you are too cute for words. If I didn't already have five rescue dogs I would grab you up. I hope you get a loving and responsible home. You look just right for snuggling to on Christmas morning.

Merry Christmas Cody. You look like a very loving dog. If I had enough room in my house I would adopt you faster than you can bark. I hope the perfect family for you adopts you soon.
