UPDATE: Pedestrian Struck In Two Different Accidents

According to Highway Patrol a pedestrian was struck in two different accidents within 5 minutes of each other early Saturday morning in Beaufort County.

Troopers say it happened on Voice of America Rd. near Cherry Run Rd. around 6:15 a.m.

According to troopers a person was driving a pickup truck in the first accident and didn't see the pedestrian who appears to have walked in front of the vehicle and was struck.

Then five minutes later another vehicle struck the pedestrian and ran over that persons legs.

Troopers say the pedestrian was 24-year-old Jeremy Brown of Greenville. He was taken to PCMH with injuries and is listed in stable condition as of Saturday night.

William Alligood lives near where the accident happened and knows one of the drivers. He said, "My first assumption was he hit a deer. The second vechicle stopped to see if he could help him, as he got closer he ran over to the road and stopped. He said he had just run over the man's leg and then I saw the man in the road."

Lucky he was in Beaufort Co. Pitt Co. drivers would have taken him out the first time, backed up and done it again, all while texting, eating, and changing the radio station.

As a friend of one of the gentleman that hit him, I am glad he is doing well and expected to make a full recovery. To the people who think it's funny. You are stupid. There is nothing to laugh about. How would you feel if it were your family member that got hit.

I am Jeremy Browns mother. He is doing fine at this time is going to make a full recovery. Could all of you people who choose to say unkind things about this situation "DON"T". It is not funny to me or my family. Just all of you good people out there, continue to keep my son in your prayers. Thank you very much.

Can't even think of a response other than this. Thanks for the laughs. Some of the posts are just plain old funny. I do hope the pedestrian is recovering and the 2 drivers are more careful.

Just concern for the injured and family, have not seen a post yet of who the person that was injured or how he or she is doing and if anyone knew how it happened yet.Just a lot of idle speculation that is unkind here
