A man is dead after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in Elizabeth City.
The accident happened Monday night around 8:40 p.m. near the Park-n-Shop convenience store on East Ehringhaus Street.
Police say the victim, 61-year-old Rudolph Boyd, was walking from the store when he was struck by a 1999 Nissan Altima driven by Bradley Creasy.
Boyd was pronounced dead at Albermarle Hospital.
The investigation continues and there's no word on whether charges will be filed.
