Pampering Pets For Christmas

People aren't the only ones that prepare for the holidays. So do their four legged friends.

Business is booming at places that cater to pets like Helen's Grooming World and Pet Motel in Greenville.

A lot of people are dropping of their dogs to get primped and pampered for Christmas. Many of the dogs get a bath, hair cut, some even get their nails trimmed and then painted in a Christmas red.

Thursday the groomers had double the amount of customers than they usually have and they were expecting the same on Friday. they expected even more.

Kennel manager Dora Tyson says, "More people want their animals to smell good for the company coming over, they want their nails painted, or some bows in their hair, you know just the holiday works I guess."

Tyson also says they get a lot more people boarding their pets this time of the year and that also keeps them very busy.

I am tending little dogs in their home while the owners are out of town. I love every minute of it and get paid for it too!

I don't just pamper my pet at Christmas, I pamper them all year long. By the way I also give to the shelters and rescues as well. Hope everyone has a safe and Happy Holiday!

Wouldn't it be nicer if all the money spent on "cosmetic" things that people do for their dogs, instead was spent on a few cheap bags of dog food, donated to the local shelter? A simple gift like this from a few people every week, might prolong the euthanasia of many "homeless" dogs.

That's true because chances are the dog is going to hit the closest mud hole as soon as you get them home. It's a waste of money in my opinion.

The prices should triple through the holidays so the people having to work through the holidays to care for these pets throught the holiday for the people that dont want to or cant can get something besides a dog pattie for their dedication
