Is it me or is the new commercial that the lottery has on air a waste of money. It gets on my nerves everytime it comes on. I wonder how much is wasted in advertising?

O does anypone else get agitated by people buying/cashing lotto tickets & scratchers at the convienient stores? It slows down the lines AND attracts some very seedy people. I mean really, who plays these things other than the bottom tenth of the population? Gambling is stupid.

First off, these two are definite thugs. However, the writer of this story needs to be called out for their poor writing skills. They stole "$3600.00 thousand dollars worth"? What a joke! WITN should be embarrassed by their lack of accurate reporting, and their butchering of the English language.

Or is it 36 hundred?... in actual number formulation; 36,000 or 3,600 ...but to write it as "3600 thousand" could be construde as 3,600,000...which in most cases people use the proper word "million" and express the number as "3 million, 600 thousand". So, I'm still not clear as to what the actual number is....thanks for the confusion.

(From the Dictionary) "Thug - brutal person: somebody, especially a criminal, who is brutal and violent." ... So you're sure they're thugs? You must know them personally to be able to tell because this was NOT a violent crime nor does the story mention any butality that the pair conspired to commit. You should be embarrassed by your lack of accurate word usage and your obvious tendancy to speak without knowing what you're saying.

I'm guessing the tickets do not need to be scanned. I watched a guy buy an entire unopened pack of scratch offs the other day. It totaled up to $300. My jaw dropped. I guess it is possible there was a bar code on the package that took care of them all. Hopefully someone else smarter will tell us all.
