Firefighters say at least two adults escaped an early morning fire at their home.

Crews from Farmville Fire and Rescue tell WITN they got the call to a mobile home on Watkins Way at 4:30 Tuesday morning.

Firefighters said the fire stayed contained to the bedroom of the home.

First responders said at least two adults escaped and no injuries were reported.

Officials said a family of three adults and five children lived in the home, but it was not clear of the entire family was home at the time of the fire.

The Red Cross says three adults and five children, ranging from 6 to 15 years old, lived in the home. They are providing them with food and lodging.

Crews said their initial investigation shows the cause of the fire was likely electrical.
